Program Description:
The University of Auckland offers study abroad students a large comprehensive university in a lively and diverse multi-cultural city. The city of Auckland is greatly impacted by its physical location between two harbors and dotted by extinct volcanoes. The comprehensive nature of the university and the diversity of the city make Auckland a great place to study Maori and Pacific Studies, biological and marine sciences, engineering, anthropology, ethnology, psychology and more.

Frontiers Abroad: this is a new program approved by Duke and designed for students majoring in Geology, Earth Science, Environmental Science, Chemistry (or similar) Biology, GeoSciences, Environmental Analysis, Physics, or Environmental Engineering.

Frontiers Abroad offers geologic and earth system science study abroad programmes in New Zealand

Frontiers Abroad offers two unique study abroad programmes for geology, earth system, environmental, and marine science students: The Geology of New Zealand (Go2NZ) and Earth System Study of Science Abroad Programme (ES3cAPe). Both programs begin with a 5-week field camp followed by a campus semester at either the University of Auckland or the University of Canterbury.
